Getting to Mui Ne from Ho Chi Minh City and aiport
 
There are many choices getting to Mui Ne that is bus or private taxi or train. Bus is suitable for you to go straight to Mui Ne drop you on the main street Nguyen Dinh Chieu.
To get from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne (Muine), travellers can take a bus, a train, or an individual transfer (taxi). From Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne bus travel time is 5 - 5,5 hours, and its ticket cost is $6-10. Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne train journey time is 3 hours 44 minutes, its ticket cost is $16-18. Travel from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne by private taxi transfer will takes 3,5 - 4 hours. The distance between Ho Chi Minh and Mui Ne is 220 km.
 
If you give preference to travelling by train, note that it will take you not to Mui Ne itself, but only to Phan Thiet. The distance between PT train station and the begin of Mui Ne is from 7km, and it can be covered by taxi or public transport. There are two types of buses delivering tourists from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne: daytime "open buses" and nighttime "sleeping buses". The daytime ones have usual seats in which you can take a nap. There is also another nuance concerning buses: each carrier makes their own timetable and can change it at any time. Tickets should be bought in advance (especially tickets for "sleeping buses"), because they are quickly sold out. And it”s impossible to get to Mui Ne by public transport at night.
 
Bus from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne
Bus tickets to Mui Ne can be bought in a tourist district of Ho Chi Minh – Pham Ngu Lao which is in the city centre. You can get to it from the airport by bus №152 for $1. There are daytime and nighttime buses running from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne: "open buses" which are usual buses, and "sleeping buses" which have folding seats in which you can have a comfortable sleep. The duration of the trip is 5-7 hours depending on how much traffic is on the road. The ticket cost for a daytime bus is from $6 to $8, and for a nighttime one – $10. Each carrier makes up their own timetable, but Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne buses don”t usually operate after midnight and start running only in the early morning.

Train from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne
There is no direct train from Ho Chi Minh to Mui Ne, but you can first get to Phan Thiet city centre, and then get from it to Mui Ne – the distance between these cities is 5 km. So you can cover it either by bus ($1) which runs at short intervals or by taxi. The SPT2 train to Phan Thiet travel time is 3 hours 44 minutes, and the ticket cost is $16-18. Tickets can be bought at the main railway station of Ho Chi Minh. And there are no overnight journeys. Travelling by train is quite comfortable: cabins are clean, and you can have a sleep or read some magazines during a trip.
