Some Famous Places To Visit in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City or former name was Saigon is an attractive city for many travellers. Around Ho Chi Minh City there are a lot of attractive destinations also.
In the city we can name so nice places to visit: Central Post Office, Reunification Palace, History Museum, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market.
Central Post Office
The Central Post Office is designed in the Gothic style in 1986 and it was designed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel. Visiting the Central Post Office, you will know more about Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City when it was in the colonial period.
Reunification Palace
This is a historic tourist site. Reunification Palace was the home of the president of South Vietnam during the war. It was built in 1966 and it is the historical significance of this monument to the Vietnam War.
History Museum
The History Museum was built in 1929 and in the past, it was a French villa. Later, it was turned into the museum which you can visit today. The museum is located in a beautiful botanical garden. Visiting the museum, you will find a lot of artifacts that date back 4,000 years. Many of them originate from the Bronze Age. There are art pieces and gifts that have been offered to Ho Chi Minh when the dignitaries visiting Vietnam.
War Remnants Museum
This museum is one of the most visited museums in Vietnam. Each year, more than half million visitor come here. The museum is dedicated to educating visitors about the atrocities of the Vietnam War so we love the peace more. When you visit the museum you will find a lot of items about military vehicles, weapons in the war and also the personal memorabilia of victims of the war and the old photographs.
Notre Dame Cathedral
Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883 by French people in Paris Square. In 1959, the Peaceful Notre Dame was installed there. Notre Dame Cathedral is an attractive destination for travellers visiting Saigon. It is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism in the largely Buddhist Vietnam.
Ben Thanh Market
Ben Thanh Market is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Visiting Ben Thanh Market, travellers will learn more about the local life of people in this city of Vietnam. You also can see the different products are sold there from the food, souvenir to other items which is essential for life. Cu Chi Tunnels
