Preparing for the Sand Sculpture Art Festival in Phan Thiet city in the beginning of 2017, a group of 3 international sand artists have come to Phan Thiet city to carve the first sand sculpture in Sports Training Centre Branch No.2 Phan Thiet (Nguyen Thong St., Phu Hai ward). From 26th to 30th September 2016, they offer free entrance to all visitors.

Sand sculpture is an attractive art favored around the world. Famous sand sculpture art festivals yearly organized in Australia, Japan, Denmark, and the USA have always drawn attention of specialists, visitors and local people. Skillful hands and infinite creativity of world professional sand sculpture artists can make unique and impressive sculptures out of formless small dunes.

Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan province) has been chosen to host the first event to introduce and perform sand sculpture in Vietnam. Amazing sand art works will be exhibited in “Forgotten Land” park (built in Sports Training Centre Branch No.2), which will officially open to visitors from 29th January 2017 (the second day of Lunar New Year). The park will have 17 sand works made by professional sand sculpture artists from 12 countries of Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Japan; Lithuania, Netherlands, Togo, Russia, Singapore and the USA.
